What happened

Some high-level GIN friends of mine were attending the same processes. One of them is very into fashion. And for the first time in my life I noticed the colors that are unique in her eyes. I noticed the colors of her outfit and her purse, and that they worked together, as one cohesive thing.

I had never had a thought like that in my life. I had always thought women were pretty and noticed certain things. This was different. It was as if the processes turned on an appreciation for beauty that had been switched off.

Why that matters

Relationships are where most of us carry the most charge and baggage. When that mass comes off, you do not only behave differently around people. You perceive them differently. You see what was in front of you the whole time.

Recording or in person
